Windham Millwork Completes Stunning Dining Hall
Fryeburg Academy Dining Hall has come to fruition through strategic planning and precise execution. The new 6,400 sq ft dining hall features an open beam ceiling that stretches 30 ft high with metal-based chandeliers and themed lighting to accompany the space. Additionally, the space is capable of seating up to 350 students. The Fryeburg Academy Dining Hall will serve thousands of students and host various events and activities for years to come.
Windham Millwork was involved in a number of areas on this millwork project. Custom wood molding can be seen throughout. Creating a custom knife in order to match other previous moldings. WMI was responsible for multiple interior wood finish carpentry. Horizontal P-Lam surfaces, grain matching, countertops, sinks, water-resistant particleboard, plastic laminates, and stainless steel were all used on this project. Some items included in the scope were; deli stations, serving lines, back wall clapboard, beverage counter, chef’s office, window sills & chair rails, mobile cart station, trash and beverage millwork details. In conclusion of the scope of work, all aspects of this job were installed by Windham Millwork’s installation team.

Fryeburg Academy is located in Fryeburg, Maine and was founded in 1792. The academy teaches grades 9 through 12 and houses some 575 students during the school year. Surrounding Fryeburg Academy is 800,000 acres of white mountain national forest, lakes, rivers and four major ski resorts nearby.
