Windham Millwork, Inc has recently completed all the architectural woodwork at Eastview at Middlebury. Eastview at Middlebury is a state of the art retirement community located in Vermont. The newly constructed two story 85,000 sq ft facility featured extensive woodwork and creative design throughout. Therefore, furnishing and installing 3,500 feet of base, 2,600 feet of handrail, 57 kitchens and kitchenettes alongside numerous custom millwork items.
There were 32 different plastic laminate colors at Eastview. Making each of the 57 units very unique and personal for its tenants. Therefore, requiring Windham Millwork to create numerous window sills, countertops, memory cabinets and vanities for each unit. There were two bars, three reception desks and numerous mailbox units. In addition, theres a library on site that was all custom made for Eastview. Additionally, the dining hall features curved crown moulding, column wraps and custom fireplace mantles. One of the more eye catching pieces of craftsmanship was the custom wood staircase in the lobby as you enter the facility.
Eastview at Middlebury was a challenging project, requiring extreme attention to detail with the size and uniqueness of the facility. This retirement community offers its tenants independent living, assisted living and memory loss treatment all within its walls. In conclusion, it’s a remarkable project that Windham Millwork can be proud to be apart of.
