Windham Millwork, Inc has been awarded The Westin Portland Harborview Hotel in Portland, Maine. The hotel is a complete renovation of the former Eastland Park Hotel, the 86 year old 206 room hotel. The new hotel will be 289 rooms and will boast 16,000 square feet of meeting space and a ballroom. Making it the largest hotel in the state. The Top of The East is also doubling in size.
The work that will be manufactured and installed by Windham Millwork, Inc will consist of high quality custom architectural woodwork. WMI will be responsible for all the cabinetry and casework in all of the rooms of the hotel along with window sills, light valances, vanities, closet casework, column wraps and soffit trim.
At the Top of The East, WMI will be in charge of the custom bar and other woodwork associated within the space. The two check in desks in the lobby and paneling throughout the hotel will also be provided and installed by WMI’s craftsman and installation team. The newly renovated hotel will also feature an all day restaurant, spa retail area, conference rooms and a ballroom. All the trim, store fixtures, reception desks and paneling in these areas will also be completed by Windham Millwork, Inc. The project consists of a combination of quarter sawn white oak and mahogany.
The Westin Portland Harborview Hotel will be completing construction in December 2013. It will be one of the many hotels Windham Millwork, Inc has completed in the last few years.
